Gases del Caribe was created in 1967 and, currently, has 436 direct employees and generates more than 1.800 formal indirect jobs.
Its main headquarters are in Barranquilla, with coverage extending along the Colombian Atlantic Coast, including the departments of Atlántico, Magdalena, Cesar, and Bolívar.
The company has adopted the use of natural gas as a vehicle fuel, benefiting over 20,000 users in the cities and municipalities where it operates, including both mass transportation and heavy-load transportation.
The Brilla program by Gases del Caribe offers financing alternatives for construction materials, household electrical and gas appliances, furniture, computers, cell phones, college enrollment, school supplies, motorcycles, and various other products and services. These initiatives aim to enhance the quality of life for consumers across socio-economic levels 1, 2, and 3.
In 2023, the company achieved a network coverage of 95% by connecting 50,245 new users in the Caribbean region, across 277 towns, totaling almost 1.2 million users. Most of the new users came from socio-economic levels 1 and 2.
