El Espectador was founded on March 22nd, 1887 and, under the direction of Fidel Cano Correa, is considered one of the most serious and professional newspapers due to its independence, credibility and objectivity.
Based on its experience and track record, it has led a digital transformation and created platforms aimed at new audiences, with successful opinion programs such as La Pulla and Las Igualadas.
It was the first media in Colombia to commercialize its contents through on-line subscriptions.
As part of its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, it promotes peace through the contents of Colombia+20 and Colombia in Transición and sensitizes audiences about caring for the environment through BIBO(Human Well-being and Biodiversity).
